Breaking News (12/29/14)
With the December 17th passage of the Tax Increase Prevention Act of 2014 the IRS has announced the 2014 tax return filing season will begin on January 20th for both electronically filed and paper returns.
The IRS had projected a date of January 23rd, but that may not include all forms. The "extender" act requires reissuance of several forms, reprogramming of many calculations, and revision of instructions and publications. That takes time and may delay the start of filing season beyond that date.
This is further complicated by the application of the Affordable Care Act (frequently called Obamacare) to 2014 tax returns.

We are currently planning to remain on our off-season hours through January 22nd and then switch to our tax-season hours on the 23rd. However, that may change with today's IRS announcement. Check our website for further information at ElectroFile Income Tax Service.
However, we know we will be closed on Januray 12th while we participate in a training class. Also, we will be out of the office from the 15th through the 20th. Of course, we will be monitoring our phone message at all times.
